I just “Dumped” all my investments in the Healthcare Industry.
And it feels GREAT !!!!!

I don’t not want to even invest in any industry so corrupt and cruel it would sacrifice paying members lives and health to increase profits

Put your moey where your mouth is all you progressive Dems and sell them until it hurts them. Besides - there are much better producers out there right now and if Obama makes any more progress towards a Government Option Plan, I got a feeling these guys are going to be hurting any way

1. The entire healthcare industry is not evil
It's the insurance companies that are posing the problems.

6. The healthcare industry is larger than you think
Most of it isn't evil. Some of the best stocks are in the healthcare industry particulary with stem cell research and medical equipment research.

3. Here's an ironic story for you
I own shares in Wellpoint and will probably have to sell them soon to pay for our COBRA coverage ($1,070 a month for two with pre-existing conditions that make us uninsurable) with -- drum roll, a Wellpoint subsidiary.

The only reason I have the shares is a fluke. I was with Anthem when it decided to go public. Members had a vote and a stake based on years of coverage. I voted against the stock option, but it passed anyway, so I got paid off in stock, which I just held onto.

4. Betting against the insurance companies, no matter which way this goes, may not
be prudent. There's no way they don't have their asses covered on this. They've had decades to plan ahead. Most likely, it's mainly their bill.

7. Over all they were averaging 11.8% which is not bad but others
are doing much better - like 26.4%

So I dumped them and have No Quams about it. Besides if Obama does get his Health care reforms passed I'm banking they have a horrible 3rd or 4th quarter

12. financially, any Health Care Reform will be a big boost to the insurnace companies
Because the government will hire them to administer the benefits and pay the claims, etc.

The "Health Care Reform" stuff is a win/win for the health insurance companies. The only real benefit to the general populace is that more people will have insurance than have it now which will hopefully save many lives. Costs will not go down for anyone, and these added lives paying for healthcare will go to the insurance companies for the management tasks explained above.

5. Good for you! I'd do the same, but mine were pulled because I got scared.
Back when Bush was at the helm, I put them in an insured account that was safe. At least I didn't lose like many did.

I'm proud of you for sticking to your guns.

8. Don't get me wrong - I pulled out too
and jumped back in right after some of the record lows this last year. I've already harvested a 25% return out these smuks for the last 2 quarters and am taking the money and running at this point

10. So what's the rest of your portfolio look like?
I'm guessing there's plenty more horrible shit in there you should get rid of if you're trying to avoid corruption.

In fact you should also probably stop doing business with every company that offers a health care plan to their employees cause that money is just going to feed the Health insurance industry also.

Good luck with wiping your slate clean!
