KHANQIN, Iraq, July 22 (UPI) -- Gunman opened fire at tourist buses Wednesday in Iraq, killing five Iranians, police sources say.

The attackers struck a convoy of three minibuses at the Imam Wais district in Diyala province's Khanqin city, an unnamed police source told KUNA, the Kuwait news agency.

4. Silly reporters. Spelled religious pilgrims, but pronounced tourists. Journalism majors rock!

3. there are major religious sites in Iraq that draw shi'a from all over the region....
The Imam Ali Mosque in Najaf draws pilgrims from all over the shi'a world, for example. Karbala, Basra, and Nasiriya are all important shi'a cities as well.
