at death's door or something? I started watching with this new season. I like alot of it, but some of it is pretty weird.

7. People who play "Vampire" are sadistic jerks.

If you want to get into it that deeply, remember that vampires are basically rapists, taking life from the living. The effort to "sweeten" them and make them into some kind of metaphors for gays or other outsiders is just a cover to make sadism, hatred and torture of people more acceptable to the public.

That goes for "Vampire: The Masquerade," "Forever Knight," the "Twilight" books and all the rest of that stuff. I see it as one with the military "kill all the non-white people" books written by Tom Clancy.

And Anne Rice can write all the crappy Christian fiction she wants now; she made vampires into sympathetic characters, and not all the holy water in the world can wash that sin off her soul.
