Isn't it good to listen to a President 'live' on TV address the nation ... |
|
and you know you aren't listening to some mentally deficient con man give a weak attempt to deliver a load of bullshit?
It was a long eight years.

Answering questions, explaining things so everyone who isn't deluded can understand. Love him taking it back to the people--citing all those heart breaking cases.

7. He is relaxed. He has poise and confidence. |

He's not stammering and stuttering. And he's not giving rambling generic answers to questions.
When he gets done you aren't saying to yourself "... huh?".

But he lost alot of the support of about 70% of the population, many that are Democrats, with the use of a stupid phrase... Again...
So stupid.
The phrase doesn't bother everyone, for instance it requires fear to be bothered by such comments, but millions that are more fragile, and they are not all freepers, will only have heard that comment, and it will have upset them.
The rest of the speech was ok.

18. Not sure, its just something many people fear. Which is stupid also. |
|
And in that they attach meaning to it, doing that it takes them off the train of thought of the topic of health care and puts them into the thought of religious thoughts. And many religious thoughts, for many people, still have fear not victory as some of the themes.
I never watched Pee Wee's playhouse, and know so many metaphors for people as animals, that you would have to explain more what you mean, if I did not answer your question with the other paragraph. I also do not follow 'pets' doctrine, or the other uses of different groups as animals if that is the intent of the metaphor. So not sure of the meaning of your metaphor.
For example, the whistle could be quiet wars, it could be thunder dome, it could be electric fencing. could be code, or just having an ideological primer on a topic. There are lots of uses of that metaphor.

Random Thoughts is a perfect moniker for you.
On Pee Wee's Playhouse, there was a secret word on every episode. Every time a member of the cast said the secret word, the kids at home were supposed to scream at the top of their lungs. :)

22. On the Pee Wee comment, I understand there are groups that could do that with a religion. |

Edited on Wed Jul-22-09 08:38 PM by RandomThoughts
There are some people that want to spin people up using a religious doctrine the people they target believe in. The irony of it, is if the religion is actually correct, then the people doing it are fulfilling part of the religion.
So one religion could learn the projected future of another, and then try and make that seem real by doing parts of it, and in doing that they, without belief, fulfill parts of that projected future.
However I don't think President Obama said what he said for those reasons, if he did it would be really really stupid, I think it is just not a known issue to him, maybe because he also does not have the fear in the same way many do not, or maybe because he knows a phrase is not his heart. Or because he hasn't thought about it. Notably he used it in a slightly different context also, so it was better then the last time he used it, but millions wont think about any of those things.
Doesn't matter to me, I support programs that make progress for good works, if they don't, I don't support them. Just like most other people. And I support people that do good works. I still think President Obama and the Democrats are trying to make change for the better, if they don't they will fail.
As far as me being entertaining, I will take that as a compliment, any sharing of joy is a good thing.

Although I accept the probable goodwill your comment was meant to impart.
I also sorta like ideas of some pirate metaphors, but not all.
And I like my interpretation of Narwhals more then Cthulu.
