make sense to do something similar to what all those countries who pay less and get more do?

Our president brought this up in tonight's presser. How we pay more than anyone. And how we get less.

So why aren't we talking about the systems they've chosen to employ?

I'm just sayin'

3. That is the salient point
Costs are going up. Health system performance measures (like life expectancy) are going down. We are not getting the bang for our buck that (lord help us) the French are achieving! Think about that! Even the damn French are beating us in health care!!!! And the Canadians!!!! We look like woosies to the entire world because the damn French and Frog Canadians are doing better at this than we are!!!!

I tried that riff out on a right winger friend of mine here in Atlanta ... the cognitive dissonance thereby produced was really disturbing to him. He did not quite know how to respond. I, of course, derived a certain sadistic pleasure from his discomfort. But, then, Trav has issues ... as several of our DU peers have observed from time to time. Forgive me.
