Report: John Ensign losing chief of staff

Embattled Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.), who admitted last month to an extramarital affair with his former campaign treasurer, may soon be losing his chief of staff, according to a report out of Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Sun reported Wednesday night that John Lopez, a longtime Ensign aide, will be departing the office soon.

“Republican sources say the loss of Lopez is a bad sign for Ensign as he tries to save his political career" the Sun reported.
