Tasteless, yet sadly appropriate toon... |
Edited on Thu Jul-23-09 10:08 AM by kpete
http://www.mattbors.com/archives/540.htmlA study has been done, and 9 out of 10 prisoners agree: It is much better to be subjected to waterboarding and other "enhanced interrogation techniques" like sleep deprivation than it is to be subjected to "enhanced beheading techniques" - such as being beheaded with a jagged butcher knife. 1. Tasteless? Hard to say |
The second panel just appropriates exactly what happened in the United States and grafts it on to people we don't like. Under the "goose and gander" principle, it's hard to imagine why anyone in the U.S. who supported the Bush administration or its elective wars can get all that bent out of shape about the current captivity of any American military personnel.

2. It's kind of like Jon Stewart - |
using humor to tell more truth than we ever get from the MSM.
I love CAVE-TANAMO!

4. Sadly the righty's have an answer. Vilify the prisoner and therefor justify his treatment. |
John McCain is considered a hero for the same actions that the wing-nuts are accusing Private First Class Bowe Bergdahl.

7. I think it was Col Ralph Peters that said on Faux News that the Taliban |
would be doing us a favor (if they killed the prisoner).

And I couldn't figure out where it came from. I think you're right, they have to vilify him and make it seem like he deserves any treatment he gets, otherwise the comparison is just way too obvious. I can't believe the evil of those fucking scum.

6. Questionable satire to some and sadly for those that have found themselves |
in a position of captivity sadly factual.
