Harry Reid is worthless, ineffective and should be removed.
Reid said Republicans, who have shown intense resistance to President Obama’s push for health care reform, had asked for more time to work
out a package.

"We will do what we can to make sure their concerns are not buried," Reid said.

FUCK YOU HARRY REID.

that is all.

My fear is that "what could have been" will be the epitaph for the Obama Administration.

16. My dad said something very similar today. What's upsetting is that
the mandate the American people handed him and the Democrats has been largely wasted.

The good will, the good faith.

Kind of like Bush* after 911.

44. They gave him
that, but they also took took took, as people like Evan Bayh and Baucus showed. The fact is, there is no WE in the democratic party right now, there is a group that wants to take the GOP place on the right, and the rest of us who are trying to figure out how to make these weasels keep their promises and not backstab us. They put Obama up front, because it is easier to stab him in the back.

to choose from in that group.
I'd like to see Bernie Sanders, but he's not even a democrat.
Feingold? Love it but probably no chance.
after that who? Mus t be healthy and have a spine. Tom Harkin? Barbara Boxer?
I am not trying to defend Reid, believe me. But the pickings are slim.
Not a Johnson or a Humphrey or a Church in the lot.
The best choice by far is not even a democrat. Bernie Sanders.

Unseat him in a primary or allow a Republican to defeat him in the General

Sen Reid,

Just heard you're not giving up your August to
help Americans get health care. How dare you.
I don't buy your reason that you need more time. I read that
as giving Americans the finger.
I hope you and all the other senators have great vacations
while more people will die because their
insurance companies won't give them medical insurance for
their illnesses. And how many will lose their health care
while you are on vacation?
And let's not forget the cost you're permitting for the
uninsured who will have to use the Emergency Room services to
be treated. Shame on you. You could never be trusted and
you've proven it again. And by the way, you are also spitting
in Pres Obama's face. We voted for him to get
things done and you are a big fat thwart.
Who needs you as a Democrat? Leave the party. Go
join the putrid Republicans. Go right now.

85. Stop the bigotry
You may have reason to be upset at the LDS church, and/or Harry Reid, but that's no reason to blanket condemn an entire group of people.

I lived in Utah 10 years, and knew and worked with many good people who were LDS. Really good people, with love and generosity in their hearts, regardless of their politics.

Don't be a bigot, or you lose part of what separates you from those you oppose.

Reid is a Mormon. That explains alot. The man wears magic underpants, and believes that JC

was running around in upstate NY with the native Americans, burying golden tablets, for the

deranged polygamist cult founder to 'discover and interpret'. When you put someone like

that in charge of anything, what kind of result can you expect other than lunacy, and incompetence

of biblical proprtions.

Throw a little religious bigotry into the mix, use some inflammatory language, and justify your hate.

Why not concentrate on the pertinent facts? For instance, why has Reid failed to suport the Democratic Party on crucial votes over 20% of the time?

Nah, it's much easier to spew hate becaue it doesn't require thought, just emotional reaction.

110. It's better to elect real Republicans than fake Democrats
The fact of the matter is Reid has been a disaster of a majority leader. He's pretty much letting the Republicans run the show despite having a 60 vote majority.

If he lost his seat to a real Republican, that gives us the opportunity to put a real Democrat in as majority leader.

"Given the choice between a Republican and a Democrat who pretends to be a Republican, voters will choose the real thing every time."
-Harry Truman

70. He is just trying to keep his job.
Harry is from a big money state that is fiscally to the right. He is not working for us. He works for them. When elections are on the horizon, he is candidate Harry first and majority leader second. Such is the nature of democracy and human nature.

If only reality was like a good old-fashioned game of baseball ~ so long as it wasn't a 1919 series that it appears to be. Slimeball money sunk the great career of "Shoeless" Joe Jackson; it looks like Corporate slimeball money may do the same for ordinary American citizens.

107. We're just "prison bitches" for the Blue Dogs
The difference between the Democrats and the Republicans is that the Republicans have been surprisingly successful at convincing their voters that their disastrous, crazy-ass policies are actually good for them.

The Democrats play a good game at election time, but once elected, we see them electing "leaders" like Harry Reid who might as well be a potted plant (if not a Republican mole) -- allowing the corporate-owned Blue Dogs to control the agenda. With Democrats like that, who needs Republicans?

Our current two-party paradigm, with bat-shit crazy Republicans and feckless Democrats, has basically forced us into supporting the Dems by default.

It's like being a "prison bitch." We can be fucked by one criminal who says he will protect us from the gang-bangers, or we can take our chances with the lunatic gang-bangers. By being forced to support the Democrats, we're still being fucked.

Either the Democrats need to start acting like a real political party like the Republicans do (psychos they may be, but they are never openly contemptuous of their "base" as the Dems are), or we need a new party.
