Funny email I got from a friend in Texas re: state GOP |
|
I just got a call on my work number from the Texas Republican Party. They thought I was "Mrs. Lewis" even though I answered "Jennifer XXXXX" as I always do at work. She said, "Is this Mrs. Lewis?" Yeah, sure, ok. Keen listening skills there. Anyway...
Did you know...
1. They are considering Texas a swing state in 2010?
2. "Mrs. Lewis" has been a generous supporter and they just LOVE her and they are counting on her to help stop "Barack Obama and his radical liberal agenda."
3. They love "Mrs. Lewis" so much and care about her feedback so much that they hung up on her. "Mrs. Lewis" told them she lost her job and has no health insurance when they asked her for $150. "Mrs. Lewis" said she would contribute if they could tell her how they are going to help her get a job and affordable healthcare. They didn't have any suggestions. "Mrs. Lewis" kept asking (very nicely I might add) what their plans are to help middle class folks like her. *Click*
Nice. Way to treat your base, numbskulls.

1. Very typical for them. You could tell them you are about to be |

evicted from your home from nonpayment of rent and they'd still ask for money.
Last year my retired father got a Sarah Palin letter asking for $2000. He's never given them anything. He put the letter on the fridge for a good laugh.
