Is he an "expert" on racial profiling AND "cultural diversity", or are those just two ways of "describing" his expertise? Whatever, still doesn't mean he acted appropriately in arresting Gates, whether it was race related or not.

...if this incident was more about a serf refusing to show proper submission to an authority figure than it was about race. Perhaps Professor Gates was arrested because he dared to assert his sovereignty to a cop.

A guy so inept he couldn't manage a situation inside a homeowner's house after the homeowner had produced his identification. So inept, he couldn't handle a situation with the backup of two other officers against a 59 yr. old guy who stands 5' 6" and weighs under 150 lbs.
The fiercely rights' protective rightwing will hail this guy as a hero for, oh, the irony of it, arresting a man inside his own home.
Just imagine if this incompetent tried to arrest one of the Rush-listenin' old white guys inside his house.
