She, as usual, interjected herself into a discussion between some coworkers and myself this morning. We were talking about our mess of a healthcare system, and one of my coworkers brought up the poll of Canadians that shows how pleased they are with their health system.
Freaky Fundie Lady's retort: "They're just saying they like their health care for the poll to spite America. They're really jealous of our health care."
And no, she wasn't being sarcastic.
But then again, this woman hates Canada with a passion. Wonderful, multicultural, gay-friendly Toronto is her idea of Hell on Earth.

I once returned from a weekend in Toronto, one of my favorite cities in the world and she knows it. She immediately came over - "So how was it? Did you enjoy that GST tax?"
And she went on and on about how rude the people in Toronto were to her when they saw her "Bush/Cheney 2004" button (I had to bite my tongue and not say 'Canadians are prejudiced against the hopelessly idiotic'), and how there are so many people who don't speak English :eyes:, and so on and so on.
