How do you feel about being a "lagging indicator?"
I know I would feel much better about getting the pink slip if I knew the economy was getting better and I was just a lagging indicator.

My point was, it is no comfort to the person getting laid off to know that he is a "lagging indicator."

2. I know, every time the media's corporate whores say the economy is improving
but employment is lagging and we are in another one of those "jobless recoveries", I have to wonder what America they are living in. It certainly isn't the same country I live in.
