15. I know 97 years isn't long enough
Teddy Roosevelt proposed healthcare for all in 1912. 97 years later and its still not even close.

18. We would be in a lot better place now
Those two Roosevelts had some good ideas for this country. Once their programs got dismantled we had another cycle of boom and burst. Only if we would have listened then and kept their regulations and instituted a national health care plan then.

There is no "ad" in my post.
The Photo is "hosted" at a legitimate site I have used for years with no problem.
Can you give me more details?

8. Sorry - there's an ad in the post I'm looking at
It's also displayed across the top of DU. Since I'm not a donor, it's possible that I'm seeing ads that others aren't.

6. They have dreamed up ways to get the New Deal ruled unconstitutional.
Those professors are conservatives, however: members of the University of Chicago's law and economics departments who have given that institution much of its world-wide fame.

Their hostility to the working class is not to be doubted. They have dreamed up ways to get the New Deal ruled unconstitutional. They have railed against labor unions and higher minimum wages while cheering lustily for Nafta and grotesque pay inequality. At this very moment, in that diabolical neighborhood of Hyde Park, the university is setting up a lavishly funded Milton Friedman Institute in order to better worship the greatest free-market evangelist of them all. (Fittingly, it will occupy what used to be the Chicago Theological Seminary.)
