6. This didn't take me by surprise at all. I knew he would end up

going back to the "stupidly" comment. I think it is very cool that he took the time to address it and to do it the way he did, pre-empting Gibbs' daily press briefing. He has already proven to be the most accessible president in U.S. history.

When he made the original comment at the press conference I thought, Uh, oh, this will not turn out well. I wasn't expecting quite the shit storm that followed but I suppose I shouldn't be surprised since the rw will never ever miss a chance to paint Obama in a negative light.

I hope this does turn out to be a teachable moment and hopefull the press will learn something, too.
