Just watched the WH press briefing (or tried to).

Listened to Obama's remarks, then listened as the WH press corps acted as though the President hadn't just answered the questions they were asking. They should be happy that the word "stupidly" wasn't applied to them, as well it should be.

And when there was finally a question about something other than Gates v. cops, coverage broke away from the briefing in order to tell us what we'd just seen and heard.

Jerrysprinerism has replaced journalism. And the suckage is huge.

3. This whole issue is a distraction, IMO.

There's always SOMETHING to distract us from what's really going on. I'm not saying that racism isn't still an issue and that the cop probably behaved poorly, but none of us were there, and this is TWO PEOPLE involved here, while thousands and thousands of people are not getting the health care they need today.
