Which will only give ammunition to the side screaming about the failures of national health care.
Will it matter that the new plan isn't actually national health care? Probably not.
A "competitive" system that puts private and public health care up against each other is not going to be the miracle cure we all hope for. Will it be better than what we have now? Probably.
But it will not live up to the hype. And, in turn, it will be used to further demonize legitimate nationalized health care.
I can already hear the Limbaugh's and Hannity's foaming at the mouth as they rant and rave about the shortcomings of our new system.
I think I'll buckle up. This is going to be a bumpy ride.
