1. Someone better count the silverware
Given Sarah's uh, problem with not returning things, the state needs to do a thorough inventory.

2. Such strange photos -
not a hint of color in the residence or its immediate environs - the color comes from outside, as if it's been Photoshopped.

Very strange..............

lots of places are like that, but those pictures - just look at that house - even the totem pole - not a hint of color - as if it's in another dimension........................

down. It does look barren, and there are a lot of things I could say about that! but won't.

46. She never lived there.
That truck is to pick up her tanning bed - remember how she had to have the electrical wiring reworked so she could use her tanning bed.

13. It's Juneau.
In wet years, Juneau has more than 250 days with precipitation, which mostly falls in the form of drizzle. This year hasn't been as wet as some, but this is a pretty typical-looking day for Southeast Alaska.

16. I know that -
I've been there, and I understand, but it's not about the weather.

It's about that house. Sunny or overcast, that house has NO color of any kind. Not even a flag - not where I can see it, anyway.

I just found that very odd, visually.

And congratulations on getting rid of her. Lots of screendoor parties up your way this weekend?

20. I guess since the photos seem to have been taken from a distance
and it's so dreary, the color just doesn't show up. I have lots of pictures that look like that out of the camera, so I have to mess around in PaintShop to bring up the color a bit. These pictures probably weren't enhanced at all.

Sarah's farewell picnic in Wasilla was today, attended by all her "Valley trash" minions and supposedly people from all 50 states. The news reported about 4,000 people in attendance.

The party in Anchorage tomorrow promises to be more entertaining and diverse (especially since there will also be a rally in support of Obama's health care reform at the same time in the same location), and they're expecting twice as many people as in Wasilla, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend. My husband has been attending to his mother who is in the hospital recuperating from a quadruple bypass and we've got a wedding to go to at 4:30, but I really would like to make it down to the picnic for a little bit anyway. I'm going to try.

Fairbanks on Sunday will be a big blast, I'm sure, since it's her final day.

I think almost everyone is glad to see her go. As Lawrence O'Donnell pointed out tonight on Countdown, people move to Alaska to get away from unwanted attention not attract it, and Sarah has done nothing but bring the spotlight here. I hope she leaves the state and never comes back, and we can return to obscurity.

I think all of us are suffering a little bit from Palin Derangement Syndrome.

31. YAY!!!!!!!
I have a surprise package waiting for me, from a friend who was in Alaska last week. He asked me what I wanted him to get me, and I told him "the most offensive Sarah Palin t-shirt you can find."

Scott's a good shopper. I got something really neat, I betcha!

And you're GOING! What about the wedding?

Oh, LOT AND LOTS OF PICTURES are mandatory!

Have fun, and CONGRATULATIONS..................

33. The wedding's at 4:30
Sarah's governor's picnic/farewell party is from noon to 3:00. I'm going to drop my husband off at the hospital to visit with his mom, then I'm going downtown to the Park Strip. I figure I can stay until 2:30 or so and we'll still have plenty of time to get ready for the wedding.

Here are reports from the Wasilla bash today:

10. Thank god and Greyhound she's gone. First thing that popped
into my head. Alaskans are getting off easy. She is now headed to the lower 48 for her "career." She'll end up at Faux News, has a ghost writer pen her book, hit the reichwing lecture and think tank circuit and make a bundle of money. She will not go away and we will be stuck with her forever. Wonder how the kids feel being dragged all over god's half acre for her flimsy, pie-in-the-sky ambitions?

18. What? No tears for the nostalgia of having Sarah?
Or tears of joy that she's outta there!

I feel your pain. Between my C Street idjit Zach Wamp, who is like herpes...we can't get rid of him, and Marsha Blackburn it's a coin flip as to who will embarrass the sane people of this state next. Along with the Obama Waffles (so cute and clever :sarcasm:) guys, to the lunatics who wanted to shoot up blacks and then dress up in tuxedos to try to shoot the new President.... Oh wait, the sort that she riled up in her rallies while running as a VP candidate.

I'm thinking that her being unleashed again in the lower 48 will be a REALLY bad thing, but at least you don't have to deal with her anymore. :hi:

She'd probably have to divorce Todd first, though. I think he'd be really uncomfortable Outside. It's hard for me to imagine him living in New York, for example.

32. They'll never leave -
they're hicks.

And I come from hick country, pride myself on my hick origins.

But they're really radical hicks, and they would NEVER find a place where they'd be comfortable.

First time Tawd shot a police dog just to stay in shape, they'd be in trouble.

They also need to be big fish in a small pond, and after she publicly humiliates herself on her book tour and speaking tour and whatever the hell else she'll do for a buck, she's going to trot right back to Wasilla where she can at least feel safe.

And my apologies to all the good hicks out there. I am one with y'all.................................

That was the crux of the ethics claims against her..that she charged the state for expenses, while she was living at home in Wasilla, and claimed that she hated the "long commute"..
