the avalanche of Anti-healthcare hoopla you see is a prime example of what HUGE amounts of money |
|
can buy --
When the pharmaceutical companies join hands with the insurance companies -- they have an endless supply of money, money, money to squash this healthcare reform bill like a bug. I will be dumbfounded if anything useful comes out of this. I'm still hoping, but I can't ignore what's in front of me: LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of CASH being spent to get rid of this.

4. They also have the corporate media and a large segment of the populace that doesn't critically think |

Even among those who do, propaganda principles are very powerful things- particularly in a culture where there's no accountability or consequences for dishonesty.
Endlessly repeated falsehoods and emotional manipulation drown out actual facts and reason.

If they have the media for corporate reasons, that equates to just money, and they are in big trouble, if that is the case.
If they are using falsehoods as their strategy, they are siding with what I would say is the wrong side, again they ain't going to make it.
The accountability and consequence is actually not their responsibility, but the responsibility of society to hold them accountable. And it would be logical to assume that anyone that sees their wrong doing and does not mention it, allows it, or does not prosecute by holding them accountable, is a co-conspirator.

6. Can you explain what you mean by this comment? I am not following you. |

Nothing I said in this post reflects on the President. My ONLY point of this whole post is: The enormous power of the pharmaceutical companies and the insurance companies are pouring tons and tons of money to stop any progress or change in healthcare. The huge wall of bullshit we are seeing all over the place is caused by corporate interests. It's a huge smoke screen.
I thinking you are reading something into this post that does not exist.

3. I'm sure they'll pass that cost on to their customers with higher premiums. |
|
The shareholders will demand it.

do you know there is a fucking wheelchair lobby? and from my understanding of the story this group lobbied congress so there is a no bid contract from medicare. they charged this woman over $1200 for the use of a wheelchair that cnn ended up buying for $350.
the crap from big phara & ins. is going to be hard to wade through, that's for sure.
