1. Great, but adding alcohol into the equation is not wise...
How about coffee?

2. Gates is an Ivy League professor and Crowley is a northeast cop.
The most natural thing to do would be to twist up a fatty, put on some Bob Marley, and let 'em get their peace on.

8. I'm not sure gettin' tanked up on caffeine would be the answer, either.

where's the part about fishing the cat hair out of the cup?

I know,I know, the Most Excellent and Wiley Boy Cat Named Ginger is too much of a gentleman to ever shed, but I just couldn't resist! Cat hair: Don't leave home without it!

14. Har! I was not aware that The Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger
had made your most excellent acquaintance. I'm sure, though, that he gets around far more than I (his mom) would probably want to know.

Mornin'! :hi:

17. Oh, yes, indeed!
I'm quite the fan of the Wiley Boy, and my little Lucy is quite smitten, the little slut, but she DOES have excellent taste! You wouldn't believe how much cat hair I have to remove from my keyboard whenever you post a picture of his totally Hansomness!

Morning. Here's a little something for you and Ginger from Lucy and me.:donut: Enjoy!

9. I see Paul Winfield and Bryan Dennehy in a movie
They are aware that the cameras are on them, but that the reporters are out of ear shot.
They meet at the table in the pub. They square off cordially, like prize fighters at a wedding.
Crowley stretches out his hand and Gates takes it as they sit down.

They both smile and speak quietly.
g- "I still think your mama raised a cracker."
c- "Yeah well, go hail a cab."
g- "I'm going to make a lot of money off the book and speaking tour for this one incident. You gave me street cred."
c- "People are talking to me about running for Congress."
g- "I'd say it worked out pretty well, wouldn't you?"

They both raise their glasses and smile for the cameras.

Unfortunately, Paul Winfield is no longer with us. :(

From the "You learn something every day" file: While looking him up to verify my recollection of his passing, I read he was gay and had a partner of 30 years. I didn't know he was family.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Winfield

Winfield was openly gay in his private life, but remained discreet about it in the public eye.<4> His partner of 30 years, architect Charles Gillan, Jr., died on March 5, 2002 of bone cancer.

Winfield long battled obesity and diabetes, and he suffered a stroke.<3> He died of a heart attack in 2004 at the age of 64, at Queen of Angels–Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles.<5> Winfield and Gillan are interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

12. Is the White House a concealed carry state? Will they both be packing heat?
Alcohol and guns, one of my favorite combos.

15. This is a great idea. Ever since I heard about this incident,
I believe I can understand both sides. I'm white, and it wouldn't matter who the officer was or what color he was, or even what gender, I'd be screaming obcenities too if they tried to tell me I didn't belong in my own house! On the cops side, I can see, if he thought he was investigating a burglary, he HAS to assume whoever he finds doesn't live there until they prove they do. Both sides lost control in this case, and meeting on neutral ground (the WH) can't do anything but improve the situation.

bend an elbow at the People's Republic.
