The Right Wing is thinking for us again.

The anti-police rhetoric is at a fever pitch, which given the partisan nature of those who post here isn't surprising giving the RW's insistance on making "I support the police!!!" 2009's "We Support the Troops unlike those godless democrats!".

I wish just once we wouldn't take the bait. Instead of focusing on the fact that police risk their lives on a daily basis to protect citizens, we instead turn into wannabe 1960's protesters shouting out "PIGS!!" all while the talking point authors on the right clap their hands and smack their lips in glee.

In my opinion, MOST police officers are symbols of the progressive movement, as strange as that sounds. For very little pay, they "protect and serve" for the greater good in civilization. i wouldn't want to live in a world without them, and they've become just another bastardized group that the Right has set us against.

We need to think for ourselves instead of letting the talking points think for us.
