The Secret GOP Sex Diary

Hot on the heels of the Sanford and Ensign scandals comes the adulterous tale of Chip Pickering. Max Blumenthal on why Republicans don’t want the former congressman’s diary released.

While former Rep. Chip Pickering of Mississippi allegedly carried on an extramarital affair with Elizabeth Creekmore Byrd, he recorded details of his exploits in a secret diary, including the dates and locations of his adulterous encounters.

Pickering, a Republican, described several assignations he had with Creekmore Byrd inside the C Street House, a Capitol Hill townhouse inhabited by an all-male group of right-wing Republican congressmen belonging to The Fellowship, an evangelical group, according to a person familiar with the diary's contents.

And according to a divorce filing by Pickering’s estranged wife, Leisha, the former congressman’s diary reveals the identities of several men who enabled his adulterous trysts and helped him cover his tracks.

One court (the divorce court) has ruled that the diaries (more than one?) were prepared in anticipation of litigation and were therefore inadmissible in court.

The judge hearing the alienation of affection lawsuit is considering the motion filed by the plaintiff seeking the release of the diary/diaries.

Word is, these diary could expose many residents of C-Street. :popcorn:

The second judge has no reason to deny it's release to the plaintiff. The judge may provide a protective order that prohibits its release; however, the issues will come up during the trial unless wealthy mistress settles out for major bucks.

And to be honest, the 1st judge's ruling is not based on the law and could be reversed if the divorce lawyers are not satisfied.

3. I read the first three paragraphs above - then the fourth and I burst out laughing.

This is hilarious stuff. It all shows that these Republicans are like kids. Toy weaponry. Lying, seeing how much they can get away with. Obseessed with sex and women's bodies. Wheeling and dealing to have the upper hand, even when it's a criminal act. Writing cute little love letters to a sweetheart. Now, keeping a diary - that doesn't sound like most kid-men, they just dump their stories at the bar and then repeat it about 699 times in 10 years. But, Republicans are so ultra strange and rowdy, I wouldn't be surprised if they got their kick from writing it all down. OR MAYBE, the FAMILY suggests they write it all down, because we already learned about their sessions where they all tell the others their most secret sex and intimacy stories or other secrets.

This is one sick cult gang. Especially, when you think about all the thefts of the taxpayers contributions they have meddled with.

Sick. Sickopated. Cult. Culted. Wackos.

5. I find the diary strange too.

Is it something "the family" encourages so that they can have something to hold over the member?

And they are like children, spoiled rotten, privileged children that never grow up and think they can do whatever they want and they won't get in trouble.

6. He appears to have just such a divorce lawyer

and he hasn't yet been named as a party in the alienation of affection case, so it will probably be the divorce lawyer who will try to keep the diary sealed in that action.
