Has anyone used Google today ?? |
|
Was it acting rather strange? I tried to pull up a link (Firedoglake)from Google and "critical" and "virus" warnings popped up out of nowhere. It took about 3 hrs to get back running.

3. I ran a long scan after I finally got rid of all the warnings.... |
|
and it was very, very slow. But I was afraid to shut down the computer without first running the program. Also, I was using the Firefox browser and it completely shut it down. I started up Explorer while the scan was going on and it seemed to helped the program move a little quicker? But it all started from a link from Google.

Go to www.malwarebytes.org, and download their Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
Run it. See what it finds.
i don't know anything about this stuff, but I do know that I had my desktop go insane a few months ago, and I took the problem to the Computer Forum here, and those wonderful people fixed it for me. Took about a week, and some very good folks worked overtime to figure out what my problem was, but THEY DID IT!
So, try Anti-Malware, but also take your problem to the Computer Forum here at DU.
Best of luck to you!!

6. Yeah, that sounds like what happened. |
|
What causes it and what is the best way to fix it? Other than what I did?

that's the one I told you up about higher in this thread.
Download it and run it.
It's amazing. Found a bug that everything else had missed.
Good luck...................

the other day I got on a dairy free site and the virus/Trojan warnings went off for a long time. Husband had to come in and make sure everything was cleared out.
Today I was doing genealogy, and nothing popped up on any of the sites I went to.

10. Different Type of Google Problem ... |

Every time that I look for articles, they always present slanted right wing ideas from Drudge, Fox, Town Hall, or whatever.
Is there a liberal search engine that can get me various articles that reveal the truth as opposed to the reich wing lies??
