The republican healthcare plan?
There isn't one...and there never will be. They had eight years to address the problem. They didn't.

So, what's their strategy on healthcare? It's pretty simple.....block anything the dems try to pass. If the dems pass a bill, it will make the republicans look like...well... republicans! They don't give a shit about poor people. If they did, they would have addressed the problem while they held power, but that would cost more money, and they had already spent more than any administration in history as it was! On what? Wars and tax cuts for the rich. Yeah, they care....not.

Every time I hear a republican bitchin about the dems attempt to reform healthcare, I just tell em to shut the fuck up and sit down.
The assholes you voted for didn't do a damn thing for healthcare while they held power, so they don't get a seat at the table now!
They know a successful healthcare bill would accelerate their swirling decline down the toilet and all they can do is attempt to block anything put forth.

They don't like to be told to shut the fuck up, so I tell them every opportunity I get and explain why they now have no voice.
You lost..get over it! Go cry on Sarah's shoulder....if you can find her. Bunch o fucking losers!

4. It's the Health Savings Account with a High Deductible Health Plan.
Edited on Sun Jul-26-09 10:28 AM by sharesunited
This is the paradigm of Republican thinking on the subject.

You put aside money on a tax-deductible basis in an account similar to an IRA to fund your care out-of-pocket until your deductible is met.

When your deductible is met, then your health insurance responds (with an 80-20 split).

The premiums are lower with the higher deductible you choose.

It is a suitable solution for employed people earning a sufficient income who are in relatively good health.

But the premiums keep rising because of the costs of care and the for-profit ethic throughout the insurance and delivery systems.

6. Yabbut, I already have......
....insurance with a $5000 deductible + 50% of the next $10,000! What does it cost me? Just $18,000/yr in premiums. God forbid I actually get sick! My wife had cancer back in 2003....not a trace since then, but it just keeps going up and up and up! It has more than doubled in the past six years. If it keeps going at that rate, I'll be paying $36,000/yr in premiums by 2015!

7. It is a premium-collecting claim-denying scam. This is why it has the GOP seal of approval.

5. I've got their plan in this handy chart.
It's in the spirit of the chart they made for the Democratic health care plan, but since the GOP wanted simplicity, they got it...
