3. Truman proposed a health system in 1948. |
|
They have had 61 years to think about it.
But we wouldn't want to "rush into anything". :sarcasm:

4. Right you are. But because lobbying has always been around, |
|
and there is nobody alive who can remember a time when there was no lobbying, few people even question this practice. In my opinion, LOBBYING IS BRIBERY, PURE AND AND SIMPLE. Just think about it! I think it should be outlawed altogether. It is corruption built into our government system - but so few see it for what it really is.

5. & yet it's tax deductible, for all its excesses - - IT'S INSANE |
|
The tax deductible lobbying expenses increase our deficit so that the lobbyists can further increase our deficit.
?Why not limit these million dollar lobbyists to deducting the costs of letter writing, phone calls AND NO MORE! As a practical matter, that's the only access we as ordinary citizens get for access to our so-called representatives anyway.
Maybe now's the time to take on this excessive tax deduction to get the lobbyists to pay less attention to their clients that bag bonuses for denying insurance coverage.
