The Republicans Do Not Have A Plan ! |
|
On such an important issue as health care reform, one would expect the Republican Party to have an opposing plan to the Democrats. They do not. They say they do but in reality, their plan is to continue the status quo.
They have no plan to deal with those people that lose their jobs and lose their health coverage. They have no plan to deal with those folks with pre-existing conditions. They have no plan to actually do something about the rocketing prices of health care. On all the important facets of health care, they offer nothing. Nada. Zilch.
They say it is hard to beat something with nothing but the Repubs seem to be succeeding. Mostly because the Democrats cannot come to a consensus on what plan they really want to put forth. They have several but they are operating in fear of the next election. At the present time, they are frozen in inaction.
Once the Democrats come out with a plan, they can ask for the Republicans plan. Until then, they will have to suffer the daggers of the Repubs who scream that it cost too much, that it is "government-run" health-care, that it is socialized medicine, that there will be long waiting lines, that the quality of health care will deteriorate. That is their plan. But that is no plan. That does nothing to resolve the problem most Americans are now facing.

1. Agreed, all the Dems need to do is agree on a plan. This seems to be too much to ask though. |
