Drove up to store for something, UDF was packed, price was 2.14/gal. Down the street other places were 2.41/gal.

Did I miss something? Some sort of mass shortage, some bank need to speculate up the price for some reason?

3. A few days ago I noticed something odd.
3 gas stations at an intersection near entrance to Garden St Pkwy exit 83, Exxon, Lukoil & Shell, whose prices had been consistently within 1 or 2 cents of each other. The other day (Wed? Thur?) Drove past and Exxon & Lukoil were $2.319 for regular, Shell was $2.489. WTF? Drove by there today, same prices.

???

7. Average gas prices are going down actually
but that never creates panic so nobody posts about it.

SINGAPORE – Oil prices rose above $68 a barrel Monday in Asia as a rally fueled by an improving economic and corporate outlook extended into a third week.

Benchmark crude for September delivery was up 59 cents to $68.64 a barrel by midday Singapore time in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. On Friday, the contract rose 89 cents to settle at $68.05.

Oil has rebounded from $58.78 a barrel earlier this month as stronger economic results from the U.S. and China boosted investor optimism.

The Dow Jones industrial average has risen about 11 percent during the last 10 days.

8. Stations refill their tanks at different times
Price is based on cost. It's not unusual to see differing prices like that at times.

13. It's gone up 20 cents a gallon in the past week in my neighborhood
here in North Georgia. Last week, I filled up at $2.19 a gallon. This morning, at the same station, it cost me $2.39 a gallon. I don't why the radio news announcers say that it has jumped a few cents. 20 cents is not just a few cents.

16. instead of looking for some great conspiracy theory
look at the 2 prices:

$2.14 and $2.41

Is it possible that 2 digits were transposed and no one noticed?
