Ok folks, some of you are outraged, some of you are not... (I will not judge you, why bother)
I will just give you some insider info since I happen to work in the damn industry. Yes, EA made a major booboo and I am sure some folks down at corporate are shaking in boots right as we speak... sexual harassment is sexual harassment is sexual harassment. On and the boys got caught doing this at a major event of geekiness... where there is press... I wonder if the local FOX station got a gander of THAT ONE!
But I suspect they count on Dante's Inferno selling very well. After all a little controversy is free advertisement. I don't care about bad press as long as you spell my name right... but there is more. This will NOT be the last time that a gaming company does this... and sadly the boys will be boys love it. That is why the companies do it. To be blunt, SEX SELLS.
Yes, I have been told this by many a marketing guru. They are right. Of course they are missing quite a bit of the potential market, aka those of us with cooties. But hey, what can I say? One fight at a time ok.
And if any gamer tells me you are using a very broad brush, not all gamers are this way, nor will they treat women wrong... been in the industry for many years, and I will tell you this... while many gamers have social skills, and know this is wrong... the ones who see no problem with it, do tend to concentrate at Conventions... whether this is Strategicon, or Comic-Con or the left handed Con. It is just life. I have my own war stories, since I do have cooties, and of course women who game are scary... those who write the games are even scarier. There is a reason why I will not wear a skirt, to a con, ok.
Now to EA Games, just tried to do the ever so popular Email the company, to remind them just how bad a case of the stoopid they got... alas their site is worthless. But don't be fooled... that "apology"... I use the term in quotations really, is legal telling them try to put the fire out because this stoopid could cost us.

Fresh back from Comic-Con international... and lord knows I wish I had seen it to call them on it IN PERSON. I hate these maneuvers, they are my personal windmill... SANCHO MY LANCE!
