Medicare for all, September Protest March
Here is a copy of an email that I sent to Physicians for a National Health Plan, the California Nurses Association and Democracy for America.

Obviously Congress is not listening to us.

I think that there is a lot of grass roots support for the idea of marching on DC, culminating on Labor Day weekend and showing Congress that we really do want Medicare for all. It would be great if someone with an organization, voice and clout could get behind this idea. You are the most organized on this issue.

In conjunction with the march, I thought a free clinic on the Congressional mall would be a nice touch.

Also, I thought kicking it off with protests at local Congressional offices during August would be great.

I am willing to help (a lot) but I don’t have an organization.

I was also going to email Dennis Kucinich, but his email is blocked except to members of his district (OH 10). So I am asking somebody from there to contact Dennis. Also if anyone is in NY 9, Representative Anthony Weiner's district, we should try and get him involved.

We may not end up getting Medicare for All on this round, but we damn well owe to ourselves (and others) to make sure our voice is heard.

1. GREAT IDEA!
I want to march, and maybe in conjunction with a march on DC, there could be local marches (I'm a school teacher, and Labor Day weekend means classes start the next day, so a 1500 mile trip is kind of out of the question for me, but a march in Minneapolis or St. Paul would be within my range).

Keep us posted as to your replies and efforts.

2. Write and call Keith Ellison
MN 5th. Or whoever else is your representative.
