4. Cool.
What's the deal with Olbermann? Is he sick, on vacation? Hasn't he been gone a week already? David Shuster is OK, but I keep wondering if he's got just the one pinstripe suit, or if he's made to wear it 85% of the time when on air...

Seems like longer than just last week anyway. Hope all is well.

13. At the Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremonies:
http://keitholbermann.mlblogs.com/

Read it and weep. Apparently he hasn't been back to Cooperstown since 1973, so he was way overdue.

And before that, as you can see, he went to Rochester to attend his nephew's 11th birthday party and take in a Red Wings game.

Now don't y'all just feel guilty as hell? I know I do.

As for what will keep him away this week, perhaps he will be busy with the TV Critics' Association summer press tour in LA. At least for a bit. But that's just a guess.

12. This will come across as pretty un-PC, but Keith seems to be
taking more vacation time than * did when he was in office!!!

21. Just your imagination. Besides, Keith doesn't just clear brush.
Really, he's pretty good about vacations. Oftentimes, he's done the show every night even while in Tampa watching spring training, or in LA promoting the upcoming season of Football Night in America. (Not that he doesn't take in the occasional Dodgers game when he does, but hey.)

I also recall two Christmas seasons in a row in which he came back from vacation early because someone died: Gerald Ford and Benazair Bhutto.

9. yes, he does. Dean kills at debate and doesn't take crap.
hope that this translates to a Dean show. I would love for Dean to become the most trusted names in news, a title I'm sure Jon Stewart would rather not have.

18. A little history lesson for the short attention span theater folks
Last summer, Mr. Olbermann took some time off too. His guest host was Dr. Rachel Maddow, which apparently was successful enough to give her her own show. Perhaps Dr. Dean will be similarly successful.
