Sarah Palin launches one last salvo of craziness before leaving, blames Hollywood for quitting (?)
Speaking for just under 20 minutes on sunny afternoon in between a 1930s-era steamship and a carousel on a street dubbed Klondike Avenue,” Palin was surrounded by a crowd of a few thousand, among them some of her most ardent supporters and a smaller group of vocal detractors.

For the first group, she offered some rabble-rousing lines and partisan red meat.

She went after reporters but also what she called the Hollywood “starlets” who rail against gun rights and the “partisan operatives” who filed the ethics complaints that helped drive her from office.

Palin seemed to be alluding to actress Ashley Judd, who targeted the former governor on behalf of an environmental group for supporting aerial wolf hunting.

Warning of “anti-hunting, anti-second amendment circuses from Hollywood,” Palin said advocacy groups “use these delicate, tiny, very talented celebrity starlets.”

She offered such individuals this message: “By the way, Hollywood needs to know: We eat therefore we hunt.”

7. Who eats wolves?
As a rule, hunting costs much more than shopping. There's the rifle, ammo, time off of work, registration fees, gas to the hunting site, tent, camping gear, etc. If you get lucky, you get a deer. Then you have to pay to have it butchered and packaged. I personally, do not like the flavor of venison, elk is a little better. But after all the expenses, you could have bought a freezer and a side of beef.

Shooting wolves from airplanes is plain stupid.... talking about wasting gas.

3. This makes me so sick I'm not even sure I can type it
"We eat therefore we hunt" means she's now eating wolves?

:puke:

And just when I thought I couldn't despise that waste of protoplasm more than I did. . . . .

4. I think you're right -- she must be eating the wolves she shoots.
Who knew?

I predict there'll be a Gal-from-the-North-Slope cookbook by Governor Palin in time for the Christmas shopping season with her favorite wolf recipes.

Wolf stroganoff.

Wolferoni -- kind of a pasta dish.

Etc.

11. No. She kills the wolves who kill the caribou
so she can kill them too. It's a two-for-oner.

8. Those craven starlets out in Hollywood have no right to single out
Sarah Palin on hunting.

Who among us doesn't spend some part of the week in a helicopter or twin-engine plane, blowing wolves out of the woods?

I mean, really.

9. I think one comment on Twitter has her pegged
Edited on Mon Jul-27-09 09:48 AM by Warpy
Someone suggested she must write her speeches on note cards and then shuffle them.

I could only stand part of the "speech." It was typical for her, disordered word salad consisting of a bunch of catch phrases with nothing coherent holding them together.

It's just astonishing to me that all stupid people hear are the catch phrases and buzzwords.

She's the Republican version of a political Anna Nicole Show.

14. Another bizarre, stream of semi-consciousness rant from
the political world's Miss South Carolina.

That "speech" was downright disturbing. It was just as disjointed and incoherent as her resignation announcement, but sprinkled with weird attacks.

16. You know what's sad and disturbing? Yeah, Ashley Judd is just a "starlet"
but if she were to go toe-to-toe with Palin in a debate, I think there is little question of who would wipe the floor with the other.

So, Bible Spice, if you couldn't even take an actress in a political debate, you might want to think twice about going up against Newt, Huckabee and Mittens -- they've had a lot of practice.....much more than that Hollywood "starlet" who would reveal you for the fool you are if she had the chance!

18. That was my thinking
Sarah Palin can't beat Ashley Judd in a long-distance "debate," and she has designs on being the leader of the free world? Please. I'd like my public officials to have just a weensy bit more on the ball than to be taken to the cleaners by Hollywood starlets.

24. WTF does Hollywood have anything to do with this?
They're entertainment, not the mainstream media that beat up Palin...

Besides, she put herself out there, so it's her fault...

Also, she'll probably move to New York City to get her own weekend show on Fox News Channel called "Politics with Palin", and try to sell her new book that's going to come out...

"She speaks gibberish, therefore she is Sarah Palin" Gryphen the pajama clad blogger.
