Governments Exist to Fund Banks & Corporations
Governments care nothing for the people they supposedly represent. The Politician is the bag man for the bank and the corporation. They are elected by promising the people what great and wonderful things they will do for them while being financially supported by the banks and the corporations. Once in power the Bag Man begins to funnel all the taxpayer money into the pockets of the banks and the corporations by any means possible, i.e., lying to the public about how the end of the world will come unless we send all your tax dollars to bail out banks and corporations.

The Bag Man is kept in check by the lobbyists that are sent from the Corporations and the Banks to ride herd on them, reminding them they are only one election away from losing their comfortable life and the reins are tightened and the Bag Man continues to heel.

What are we to do? Revolutions seem to give birth to more of the same once the revolutionary gains power. Men are weak and easily manipulated with the offer of power and money. Few can step away from the corruption that political power brings. It brings an affluent life for them and their families, the good life, good health care, good education for their children, never having to worry about paying an electric bill. They will not step away from it and will do whatever they have to regardless of the effect it has on the common good.

This country is embroiled in two never ending wars now, a great depression on the horizon, the highest unemployment rates in 60 years, forclosures skyrockting, no health care for 48 million of its citizens, a broken military, a political process that does not work not to mention war crimes and unspeakable things this country has and continues to do and nothing really is changing to make that 180 degree turn, although we were promised so much.

Politicians are not the answer to our problems. Electing this one or that one won't change the machinery that is set in place in order to preserve the status quo. Where can we go and what can we do to make real change and make it soon? I don't have any more answers or illusions. I have no more faith in this government to ever change, but I have lived a long time and seen history continue to repeat itself. Where will salvation come from for this country.

1. When enough people realize what you do
and are willing to step up to the plate, then, solidarity in a nation wide general strike would panic the corporate powers. We the people give them their power through our labor and our doing business with them on their terms. At any time we the working people could refuse to do business with them.

Solidarity is the key....

2. That is always the hope
but I have lost faith in the American people - and you are right, a nationwide strike that lasts as long as it takes

3. Yeah I know what you mean
and I have to admit I envy the displays of solidarity I see in other places like in France and Greece.

4. Ethnic Diversity Has Its Drawbacks
Due to their diversity, Americans can be easily turned against one another. Divide and Conquer and the Hegelian dialectic work far too easily here. For this reason, he French have a significant advantage when it comes to solidarity.

Such divisions can be transcended, but it requires energy to overcome the xenophobia biologically programmed by millions of years of tribalism. The MSM can turn this 'on' and 'off', when it suits the powers that be, by placing unifiers or dividers on the air.
