Martin Bashir can kiss my ....
ASS! Why didn't you admit this when he was alive you greedy shitbag!?

"But the truth is that he was never convicted of any crime, I never saw any wrongdoing myself. And last his lifestyle may have been unorthodox, I don't believe it was criminal. And I think the world has now lost the greatest entertainer it's probably ever known."

3. The more sleazy the speaker, the more hyperbolic words come out of their mouths.
I think MJ's music was very good, and he was probably the most talented singer/songwriter/dancer of his time ('80s and early '90s), although there were other greats like Prince who could compete on that score. But the BEST EVER? Way too early to tell. And quite frankly, in the mind of the beholder.

2. I agree....when I saw the special, Bashir left me the distinct
impression that he believed Jackson to be a child abuser. It's been a while since I saw the show, but I remember thinking how Bashir had beguiled Michael into believing he would get a fair shake from him and I believed he had betrayed him instead.

4. They showed it a couple of weeks ago. It was a "hit doc" from start to finish.
There was no "on the other hand" to it. It goes to show why politicians and other public figures are right to be very, very cautious when letting the media into their lives.

6. Really?
I've watched that short-documentary several times. I don't know why, but it mesmerizes me.

I actually thought that Bashir was a good interviewer. I am not familiar with ANY of his other work, outside of this one interview. I know he asks tough questions, but he seems genuinely interested in the answers, and the interaction between the two is a fascinating one. He does press a little bit, but I don't think it paints Jackson in a bad light. The way he presses on some questions, and the way Jackson responds, makes me believe that Jackson was telling the truth.

I don't think Bashir was unfair at all.

Of course, maybe it's just the accent :) Have Bill O'Reilly asking the same questions, and maybe I'd think otherwise? Hah.

5. Because Bashir was cashing in, of course.
There was no market for telling people "He's a little odd, but I don't believe he's in any way harmful."

7. That's right. He had to make it sensational with all of his accusations.
That's why I called him a greedy shitbag.

8. The press and publishing houses TOLD authors and producers "we don't want anything Pro-Jackson"
Edited on Wed Jul-29-09 01:39 AM by Triana
if anyone tried to print, document, or publish the TRUTH.

Because tabloid lies and negative hate-trash SELLS and makes money. TRUTH and beauty and compassion doesn't.

Just ask Aphrodite Jones. That's what they told her.

The media and tabloids (and some other select extortionists) DESTROYED Michael Jackson for profit.

Period.

May they all rot in an eternal acid bath in Hell for it.
