Memo to Joe Biden: STFU or Maybe Consider Using Cheney's Undisclosed Location For Awhile. |
|
Enough is enough. Joe Biden can not shut his mouth and loves to shoot from the hip with words he knows will get attention. The latest is his idiotic comments regarding Russia.
Barack Obama is the President. Hillary Clinton is the Secretary of State. Is Biden jealous? Why does he continue to say outlandish things that hurt the Obama Administration? Is it attention he wants?
This has gone on now way too much already in the first six months and it is becoming a pattern. Biden has always had a problem with his mouth, but now it impacts our nation and Obama's priorities and Clinton's hard work to restore the damage done by the Bush Administration for eight years.
President Obama: You might want to find out where Cheney's famous "undisclosed location" was and suggest that Biden visit it for a while.
Gee Whiz, Joe.

2. In Short he suggested that Russia is a weakened nation |
|
and that we hold a better hard at the bargaining table with them right now. It was mostly economic in nature, suggesting that Russia is economically crippled right now (what country isn't?)
It made headlines all through Russia and is getting (I think) blown way out of proportion.

5. It really annoys Putin when the US pulls that "We're #1" shit |
|
I'll have to go Google for strongly worded responses.

9. Yeah, and Biden could have phrased better but |
|
It's not anything new for Russia to use another countries' rhetoric to pump up their own nationalist elements.

You yell about his "outrageous" comments, but you don't post or link to any of the comments you think are outrageous.
Are we just supposed to take your word for it? Be outraged by proxy?

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124848246032580581.html HRC had to do some backtracking on this. There should be a special White House communications director for "What Joe REALLY meant was..."

7. Have you said the same thing about the gaffes of Hillary Clinton? |
|
Edited on Mon Jul-27-09 03:02 PM by karynnj
Her comment about the North Koreans was hardly helpful. The fact is that there is a magnifying class on both of them - and it is very hard to avoid ever saying something wrong. Also, it has not been just HRC's and Obama's hard work, Biden has been a strong team member as well. I really can't make a case that HRC has been more useful than Biden.
(I am neither a Clinton or Biden fan, though I respect both - here I see people taking anything said by Biden and using it to fit the RW theme. I don't see similar comments by HRC treated the same way.)

8. That's what I love about Joe. |
|
He says what he thinks. And he doesn't care who it pisses off. At least you always know where he stands even if it is unpopular. A little straight talk is nice to hear even if i don't agree with it.

13. I've wondered if his gaffes are not scripted. They say "oh that's Joe" but still get the dig |
|
in to whoever they're pissed at. If so, it's clever. But I'm probably giving the administration way too much credit.
