16. It's not like the media is interested in hearing any opinions
except those on the Right.

2. They will lose seats in the House for sure, maybe a couple in the
Senate. Obama's re-election will be determined by the jobs numbers in the Summer of 2012.

3. There will be a tremendous backlash against the whole party
No, people won't think Republicans are going to do any better, but they will take the chance to oust all the weak kneed, corrupt bastards who are more concerned about their campaign contributions than about doing what's right for the country.

If they fail us again, it will be 1994 again.

You can take that to the bank.

6. No, not vote for pukes, but at least stay at home. Remember people went out in millions to vote for
a better day, at least for the HOPE for a better day ahead.

13. You're very right on that...I know some who voted for the first time for Obama....
They had never voted, but things were so bad they got registered and voted.

Now they are feeling betrayed, angry, and disgusted.

So much for "hope".

20. I registered many of these new voters myself...NO chance these people stay
active going forward if we don't see big time changes.

7. The Republicans can win back power if enough Democrats stop coming out to vote.
The best hope Republicans have to achieve that outcome is to tell lobbyists to cut deals with Democrats to vote against the reform or to water it down so that nothing meaningful is done in exchange for cash spent on favorable advertising for these Democrats when they are up for re-election or simply to remove the threat that health insurance companies will air ads 24/7 calling them socialists and other such nonsense.

If the bill turns out to be garbage when it's passed, a lot of people who voted for the Democrats will be demoralized and won't turn out again to vote. After NAFTA, the first war in Iraq, and the health care reform failure in 1993, the more liberal Democrats tended to stay home and not vote altogether. The Republican base was empowered and energized; their voters did show up, and they were then able to sweep out the Democrats in office.

11. Some here think 2010 & 2012 have already been won by the Dems...
They are so intelligent, that they cannot fathom how the Democrats could possibly lose.

What they do not realize is that the People are fed up with chump change token effort shell games, while Corporate America gets the U.S. Treasury and laws making people servants to Corporate America. Yet, the Democrats are pissing all over themselves as Corporate America sets them up for life, and they think the American People are not watching.

15. We got a new Dem Senator to replace libby Dole.
I have already made up my mind I will not vote for Kay Hagan again.
She has already sold out to big Pharma. I am very seriously considering registering as independent or green party. I am pissed off. I have already written to her about 20 times.
I m disabled and on SSD, Medicaid and Medicare, trying to live on 800$ a month....
I m really very unhappy with the Dimicrats and I am 9 generation US citizen as in my family has been here since Jamestown. We have always been Democrats as long as that has been a party. My ancestors fought in every war, been law abiding tax payers etc.
I also despise the rpuke/theocratic/fascist party too, they have no lock on being patriots. I also volunteer for service in the Navy.
Hell maybe I'll run for office against Burr.

18. Good luck! I've been in your position before and it's only a miserable existence.
People in this country really think that we have a social safety net, until something ever goes wrong and they need help. When that happens they find out that this country has been screwing over it's citizens with shell games.

The Democrats are trying too hard to be like Republicans, instead of pushing back to the left and representing all the average people.

By the way... My Dad always said that Bob Dole worked in public service his whole life, and he became a millionaire doing it, so he must be a crook.

Nothing like cutting off one's cock to stuff in the pig's mouth as it roasts on the fire.

Stupidest post EVER.

14. Agreed, without the public option, it's not health reform, just one big tax cut for the insurance
companies, so they'll "give" their employees health insurance.

I'm not buying it.

This country's on the decline, maybe the USA should separate into Red State, Blue State countries.

17. Maybe we seriously need to start referendums demanding
"none of the above" be added to the ballots. I know I won't vote for any party which neither hears our voices nor represents my interests.
