Isn't it also possible that someone besides Ms. Whalen spoke with Officer Crowley and identified them self as the caller and then for his report Crowley called 911 to get the callers name and was given Ms. Whalens. I am willing to admit that Crowley may be lying, he may be a racist. Based on the info we have it is impossible to say anything definitive.

She told me it was handed down from slavery days. Field workers would take turns insulting each other's mother while they were working. It was an exercise in not losing one's temper, so that when a white person insulted them later they could bite their tongue. Reference the scene in "The Color Purple" when the character played by Oprah Winfrey talks back to a woman in town who is demeaning her--even though the character was justified in answering back she paid dearly for it.
