So even if Health care passes we have to wait until 2013? |
|
Right now it looks like health care is going to be stillborn. Single payer is no longer an option and the public option is in grave danger. So even if we get an insurance industry backed, watered down version of health care, it won't take effect until 2013!! Great. Thousands will die in the waiting. I'm 58, so I'll be eligible for Medicare by the time health care hits, IF it ever does. I'm very disappointed.

1. I'm going to be calling my Senators and demand they vote AGAINST the bill |
|
because this piece of shit will make matters worse if there's no public option.

2. Disappointed - OK. Surprised - no way. This was going nowhere from the very beginning. |

And I agree that no "reform" would be better than the backwards movement this will represent. The lost opportunity will not come around again for a long time. Damn them all!

3. The most egregiously evil practices of the insurers should be banned IMMEDIATELY- |
|
no prior condition exclusions and no rescission Starting from the moment a bill is passed. This 2013 crap has enraged me almost more than any other point. It's a window for the companies to pillage and exclude while thousands more die in the window.
I am really getting angry, disappointed and bitter towards the entire Democratic Party. I expected no less from the Republicans, but I did expect more from my Democratic President and my Democratic Congress.
If there is a bill as crappy as it looks like we may get, I will probably become a single issue voter and I will back and donate to anyone who is for single payer regardless of what party they are in or who they are running against.
