Two in Three Doubt Congress’ Grasp of Healthcare Issues

PRINCETON, NJ -- Americans view themselves as more knowledgeable than members of Congress regarding the current debate over healthcare reform. Nearly half (48%) say they personally have a good understanding of the issues involved, while only 27% say so about members of Congress.

1. Most Americans *would* know more about how broken our current system is.
Congress enjoys high-end health care fully funded by taxpayer dollars. They have the socialized health insurance that they are denying us. Why would they realize how fucked up the system that the rest of us have to use is? They don't have to use it.

2. They lead such an insulated life...they have no clue what it;s like for us...
...and if the editorial page of the Washington Post says it ain't broke, they'll listen to that.
