They spend entire segments reading stupid comments on their twitter and facebook pages. They spend a lot of time saying "HEY WE ARE ON TWITTER COME LOOK". Its really stupid is someone paying them 5 bucks everytime they mention Twitter?

Unlike a lot here, I actually enjoy twitter. I hope it survives.

It's an effortless way to fill the airtime that their sponsors are buying, so yeah, sorta. Keeps 'em from actually having to do journalism stuff.

7. If I want to read posts by schmucks ....
If I want to read the writings of everyday schmucks, there are plenty of sites where I can go. I turn on the news because I want ACCURATE INFORMATION AND EXPERT OPINION. I guess its cheaper to read internet posts than do investigative journalism.
