South Carolina needs a conservative Senator who will stand up for the constitution. Sad day for SC.

Really sad when the elected representatives do not listen to the people that elected them.

South Carolina needs to get some spine and vote out or recall Lindsay Graham. He is making your state look really stupid.

Perhaps in this one instance the latina IS smarter than this white guy. His vote for her could be proof of it.

More like, “you scratch my sack, I’ll scratch yours.”

Sorry, I’m sick of these fools, and back is just too nice for that turd.

2. Yeah, I figured they'd be all over Graham as a RINO
when I heard he was the lone R who voted for Sotomayor.

3. Yet that lying fornicator governor has still not taken a hike.
How can anyone take South Carolina seriously? Anyway, go ahead, make my day and dump that Republican scum Lindsay Graham. Seniority is important in congress and South Carolina deserves less.

dump that party of repressed losers and at least become an Independent. There is never going to be a place in the GOP for a gay man to hold his head up high.

18. I'm sure he/she is doing just that
and I'm enjoying a little schadenfreude at their expense while visions of teabaggers float through my head.

Nothing like a little case of GOPers eating their own.

16. They can't stand it...
...a Republican who at least tries to think for himself. They're all about individual freedom as long as it means running with the herd. Just shows that they have no real clue of what they're about...only what, and who, they hate.

17. to set the record straight

(no pun intended about being straight) but I live in the feudal republic of SC. One, there is no recall of public officials, and, two Graham was re-elected two years ago. He'll do the opposite of what Fritz Hollings did for years; Fritz was a dependable liberal for four years, and then you had to hold your nose as he jumped on a death penalty or pro-gun bandwagon in the run-up to his next election. SC simply does not defeat sitting Senators. The seniority system, after all, is how the South finally won the civil war 100 years after it ended. Look at the Senate leadership starting about 1960 and you'll see that Southern Democrats ran just about every committee. The problem for Southern Republicans is they have no natural allies like the Democrats did with northern liberals and Catholics, so they are rapidly heading toward becoming a regional party with a handful of states like Alaska and Utah to add to their increasing minority status.
