12. They have not!!!
One committee in the Senate has given up. Waxman has had trouble with the Blue Dogs. Watch Obama's town hall with AARP and show it to your older family members. He answers all the questions.

It is now obvious to me why the Republicans are not offering a plan of their own. There is no way they can match the plan that Obama outlines. It is excellent. How to pay for it is the big question. But obviously tax increases for the very wealthy would be morally and fiscally responsible.

8. He's using the words "insurance reform" a lot.
Evidently, "health care reform" is no longer the goal.

At least he's honest.

13. In his intro speech, he said "insurance reform" ... several times.
He also said "public option," but you and I know that means "public option insurance" and not "public option health care."

15. He called it health "insurance" reform at his press conference last week too
I can't really give him credit for honesty because he's selling us out. He might as well just stand up and say "we are going to screw you big time but phrase it in a way you'll think you should thank us"

11. I watched, and I recommend that DUers watch this with their
parents and grandparents. Download the thing somehow and take your laptop over to their houses. President Obama answered the questions that older people are asking. He was just great at this townhall.
