I don't think there's anything political about many of Fox News's more inexplicable mistakes...

But I find it ominous just the same that so many of these errors tend to make it onto live broadcasts.

I think it proves that people who come to work at Fox are generally hired for one particular reason--and that reason is NOT a solid grounding in the sort of fact-checking and copy-editing journalism techniques that would prevent mistakes such as these from getting on the air.
