WASHINGTON - JULY 28: Former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert (R) and Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) (L) notice that Hastert is wearing the same tie as in his portrait during the painting's official unveiling at the U.S. Captiol July 28, 2009 in Washington, DC. Hastert is the longest serving Republican speaker from 1999-2007.

5. I am sad to say this buffoon
was my congressman for many years. The Democrat that replaced him is a tad better than Hastert but not by much. Hastert's son will be running for this seat in 2010 and it will likely go back to the Repubs.

15. I lived in DeKalb when he was elected. Returned to TX in 2004.
Seeing him perform more or less prepared me to live with the republicans again. Is the current representative good enough to get re-elected?

16. The Hastert name here is huge,
no pun intended. He has had so many bridges built over the fox river the fish have become neurotic and you can jump from bridge to bridge from Aurora to Elgin without getting wet. Bill Foster is the first term congressman who was elected in what was an Obama landslide in northern Illinois. His opponent was also a bigger buffoon than Hastert if you can imagine. Foster is now stabbing Obama in the back on health care reform. I wouldn't bet a dollar on him being re-elected but suppose I could be wrong. I will hold my nose and vote for him.
