The government should have NO say so in the type of healthcare that a person gets. (email and reply) |
|
The government should have NO say so in the type of healthcare that a person gets. If they do, it won't be long before they decide how long a person should live.
....and my response....
The next thing you know, the government will be setting up free schools, free police departments, and free fire departments. Then they'll be controlling you by taking taxes right out of your paychecks each week. Who knows before long the government will be issuing licenses determining who can drive and taxing your personal vehicles and making you display some kind of state government issued tax certificate on the back of your car. The government wants to OFFER healthcare just like they OFFER free schools. Didnt your parents DECIDE on their own to turn down the government's OFFER and pay their own money to send you to a private school? The government didnt DECIDE where you should go to school, just as they wont decide how long you should live, your parent's made a CHOICE, just as millions who have NO healthcare will be able to make the choice for themselves. Are you still working for Mark? Is he providing you healthcare?

My "friend" works for my cousin who opened a pizza restaurant and cannot afford to give his employees healthcare. He also went to a private school, shunning the government's offer of a free education. I'm sure any further replies from him will be..."Sean Hannity said....." or "But Rush said..."

4. Our employers should have no say in the type of healthcare we receive. |
|
We need to get it though people's heads that your health should never be tied to your job! Why shouldn't I be able to work 3 part time jobs if I want to? Why should anyone stay in an unbearable employment situation just to have healthcare? WHat kind of choice is that?

that you and i do to have health insurance. i know i know... then the ingrate dirty people will be in the same waiting room as you to see a doctor!! and we wouldn't want that. then we may have to wait more than a half an hour to see the doctor.... (btw... i have waited over an hour to see the doctor before, and that was without all those little people waiting to see the doctor!! so somehow i don't think any waiting would have to do with volume of patients that much). but it's amazing what we take for granted around here... like safe cars and safe highways.... being able to pick up the phone and call 911 if there is an emergency. having the fire department show up and put out the fire without first having to get preapproval from someone...

insurance companies determine who your doctor will be (in or out of network), determine what procedures they will allow you to have instead of what your doctor thinks is needed, disallow "experimental" or new treatments even if could save your life, we are the only country where people go bankrupt for medical costs, 18,000 people die in this country because of lack of insurance coverage, and for all that crap, we pay the most per capita for it in the world.
