What would happen to you if you played silly games at work?
What would happen if you wasted the majority of your work time playing word games with your customers? Or even worse, not being truthful? What would happen if you easily lied the majority of time--except when you were forced to tell the truth?
I don't know about you all, but I would be fired. Instantly.
Ferchristsakes, if my supervisor walked by and I was even playing a silly game on the internet, I would be fired.
So why does Congress get a pass from the people that voted them in?
I think if an elected official gets elected by a constituency by the majority vote, that s/he should vote the way that they promised they would on any given issue?
And certainly for these republicans playing the "birther game"...where they act coy and refuse to answer simple questions--and instead play a quasi-charade game with disingenuous shrugs and winks with the press, then vote to affirm that yes, indeed, the President is a citizen of this country (because to say otherwise would make them look like idiots when future generations study history and not just the news cycle)...well, they should be sent packing immediately.
My employer wouldn't tolerate these games.
We shouldn't either.
