It's very frustrating to go to sites I like to go to and have people spewing the bs about healthcare
Today I go to Gottadeal.com, a site I go to to find great deals posted. They have chat forums, and someone had posted about problems they are having getting the insurance company to cover something they were told should be covered. So someone posts about single payer and how we should have it. then comes the post about government run healthcare and all the faux news talking points. My head wants to explode. oh, the government can't run anything. blah blah blah.... paperwork like tax forms.... and a government bureaucrat making decisions. i respond with a government bureaucrat vs a health insurance bureaucrat who gets a bonus for denying coverage. and about how medicare has a 3% overhead vs the 30% overhead for the private health insurance companies. and about how medicare may not be perfect, but i don't know any seniors that would want it taken away. and of course the bs about how if you think you have to wait to see the doctor now!! wait till all those uninsured folks are filling up the waiting room. and of course how the number of uninsured is inflated to include 'illegals' and people who CHOOSE not to get insurance. uggh. i want to cry. i just want to cry. i responded to that by talking about how we "CHOSE" to not have insurance because it cost a week's worth of bob's pay to cover NOTHING, so we would wait and pray that fever my daughter had was nothing... and we ended up in the ER because it wasn't nothing. but what do they care. as long as they've got theirs. and i said as long as the insurance companies are controlling it, you may be covered today, but tomorrow may be a different story which you won't find out about until you actually have a serious medical problem and find out it's not covered. then you may end up like over half of the bankruptcies in this country who had insurance.

1. There was plenty of health care BS in evidence the other day even at someone's Facebook page!
What can I say? The guy's from Georgia originally. He must have a few wingnut family members or classmates or something. :eyes:
