Contact EVERY senator and representative. Ask them to read=2 0Page 425 of the proposed health care bill

she just doesn't do the google so well....so in reply I sent her to this link...it goes to the section of the bill they are screaming about link--> http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h3200/text?version=ih&nid=t0:ih:2834 below is the nasty e mail . I am sure we will all be getting ones l like it in the coming days . I figure Id post the link to section of the bill it is about to make it easier to pass on.

On Page 425 of Obama’s Health Care Bill, the Federal Government will require EVERYONE who is on Social Security to undergo a counseling session every 5 years with the objective being t hat they will explain to them just how to end their own life earlier. Yes . . . They are going to push SUICIDE to cut Medicare spending!

Listen to Fred Thompson Interview
Fred Thompson: Interviews

Now, CALL YOUR PEOPLE IN WASHINGTON !!!! Tell them to read page 425 if they don’t read anything else. Surely, some of them have parents.

You might want to forward the following web site address to everyone in your address book. It provides the email address of every elected official in the United States. The web address is www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml. It might help others make the necessary contacts regarding page 425 of the proposed health care bill.

On Page 425 it says in black and white that EVERYONE on Social Security (will include all Senior Citizens and SSI people) will go to MANADATORY counseling every 5 years to learn and to choose from ways to end your suffering (and your life). Health care will be denied based on age. 500 billion d ollars will be cut from Senior’s healthcare budget. The only way for that to happen is to drastically cut health care. The oldest and the sickest will be cut first. Paying for your own care will not be an option.

Now you know why he's trying to rush this thru for passage -- before the people find out the facts.

1. It's already been debunked on snopes
http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/euthanasia.asp

This is so outrageous that it amazes me that anyone believes it, even the most die hard wing nut. :eyes:

5. More on the FireBrand blog
Did anyone read the blog that the Snopes article had a link to? The guy really was trying to break down the HR3200 bill and explain it as well as giving his opinions and conclusions about the different sections in question.

Check it out: http://firebrandblog.blogspot.com/2009/07/cry-wolf.html

Although, he did point out the fact that, like with everything else politicians have enacted to help people, there's the potential for abuse. Greed always trumps good intentions. Look at how much the Social Security Admin is being abused. It's original intent was to be an "emergency fund" for those that lost their income and savings/investments. Now SS pays for just about everything (no wonder it's running low on funds!)

I'm sure whatever measures they put in this healthcare bill will one day be a fuel source for right-wing spin-doctoring to show how "liberal, left-wing programs are driving the national debt through the roof" - heck, they're saying that already! Someday, it will be the foundation for a Republican/conservative political victory when running against a Democrat in support of this legislation.

And the game plays on...

2. Some people will fall for anything
You want to really ratchet up the paranoia? Tell them that the CDC is deciding now who gets a flu shot come fall for the H1N1 "swine flu" pandemic. It's rationing! It's socialized medicine!

No, it's called a coherent public health policy wherein the people at the greatest risk are put first in line for vaccine. There is a two-fold reason: So the at-risk person doesn't die; and so the at-risk person has a lower chance of becoming a vector for the spread of the flu.

Good luck trying to fix stupid. You're truly doing the Lord's work with your right wing family member.
