Has anyone heard any POSITIVE news about the health plan?
It seems everywhere I look, from the general media, the liberal media and the conservative media (of course), everywhere, there is nothing but doom and gloom about the potential of a useful health plan being developed.

Predictions range from a complete sell out to the insurance and medical corporations to a complete collapse of the whole endeavor and not much in between.

Has anyone come across any reasonable news of a positive outcome to Obama's health plan?

1. No. The republicans and MSM and Fox "News" have taken over with their message of No.

2. The best plan I've heard about is "mad as hell doctors".
On September 8, a caravan starting here in Oregon will drive cross country til they hit D.C. to demand an end to health care for profit. Learned about it just this morning, and it seems the itinerary is still taking shape. Please check them out, sorry guys, not techy enough to know how to provide link. I want to do what I can to get the word out!

Their Motto?
Get mad. Stay mad. Make history

This is the real bottom line, in every sense of the phrase.

5. Corporate media is running a FUD campaign against it

Every headline is suppose to instill Fear, Uncertainty or Doubt about the plan. Don't believe me? Go read a few and see what applies.

7. There is no good news because this is the worst of all the possible options.
From the "Mad as Hell Doctors".
The "public option" is doomed.
First: we will still have a dysfunctional health care system designed around insurance companies. Second: it will be impossible to cover everyone without raising taxes. The Obama administration is already saying it is acceptable to leave out 15 million people. Which 15 million? Will you be one of them? Who gets to decide? Third: in a "post-option" environment you can bet that the health insurance industry will manipulate the rules so that the sickest, most expensive patients will gravitate toward the public plan, which will cause it to fail. When it does, the opponents of real reform will point to the "public option" and scream: "See! Single Payer won't work!"

This is, as we feared, another bogus corporate welfare program designed to both enrich our parasitic masters and discredit the very concept of community.
:grr:
