Obama lied us into the Iraq War !!11! He outed Valerie Plame!!
I can't even list all of Obama's crimes!11!!

Obama set up the NSA warrantless wiretapping program!!

Obama created a torture program! Obama personally went as president to Abu Ghraib and taught Lindy England how to torture!

Obama shoveled $85 trillion of free money, no strings attached to the banksters back in September 2008 when he was president elect!!1

Obama played around with a guitar and went to a birthday party while New Orleans drowned !11!1! How could he as president have been so cruel and detached!

I could go on and on about the crimes of the Obama administration!!1

:sarcasm:

:silly:  :silly:

6. From a previous post I did in another thread:
I voted and was a delegate for Obama, not because I'm an uncompromising liberal and thought he was too. I voted for him for putting his signature to the following on October 2nd, 2007:

“We are Americans, and in our America we do not torture, we do not imprison people without charge or legal remedy, we do not tap people’s phones and emails without a court order, and above all we do not give any President unchecked power.

"I pledge to fight to protect and defend the Constitution from assault by any President."

His signature on this pledge was dishonest. Bottom line, a politician will say anything to get elected and if you believe them, I have learned you set yourself up as an idiot.

11. The crimes that he is responsible for
are those American, Iraqi and Afghani deaths that occured after January of 2009. For those he should be tried as a war criminal.

But the bold-faced, shameless ignorance of this post defies commentary.

16. It is his war now. Do you believe that Richard Nixon
bore no responsibility for the Vietnam war just because the previous administration started it. It is the this administration that is increasing the force levels in Afghanistan. It is this administration that is upping the strength of our Army by 32,000 men to support that increase in troops in Afghanistan.

18. It is his war now, I will not deny that.
Wars do not end at the drop of a hat. Continuing to fight in Afghanistan may not achieve anything, leaving the nation in its current state most certainly won't. Owning the war means ending it responsibly, you want to ship him to the Hague for that, fine. While you're at it, ship the rest of us there with him, we didn't overthrow his predecessor when he began these wars, and we tolerated his rule, hence we are all complicit. Perhaps you can suggest a nation to occupy us and aid in our reconstruction into a truly democratic society?

20. This one will end when our "leaders" kill enough people to deny "cutting and running".
And, can blame the "peaceniks" for the loss of an obviously lost war.

22. Sad, but probably true.
There will be no "victory" from the massive build up, just the hope that we can bloody and batter the Taliban sufficiently to allow us a graceful exit.

21. Citizens of nations are not tried for complicity
in war crimes. Only those that commit them or order them.

23. Fair enough.
So to get back to the question at hand Thothmes, how do we get out of Afghanistan? How do we pull our troops out while avoiding the absolute collapse of the admittedly ridiculous government set up there, and also avoid a re-takeover by the Taliban, further destabilizing neighboring Pakistan.

I admit this is a political question, this country has swallowed hook, line and sinker the idea that Democrats are no good at fighting wars, a pullout that leaves the country in chaos, would only serve to prove that point, so how do we do this in a manner that balances the worth of lives abroad, and does not gain the Neocons ground here at home?

But, plausible deniability is making a comeback.
