There is no doubt that there will be extraordinary videos demonstrating to the majority of the American people the insanity of this crowd. Screaming and yelling is the least of it. You think you saw the ugliness of the Right at Palin rallies? Kids' stuff compared to the August recess. House and Senate members will hold meetings in their districts, and they will be disrupted by these haters, who as the birth certificate absurdity demonstrates so well, are overreaching.

Show up. Be a progressive voice at these meetings. Stay cool, and let's contrast sentient beings with these beasts (apologies to beasts). But we can't allow them to control the playing field. Theirs can't be the only voices heard. We may disagree on aspects of health care reform (this is Democratic Underground, right?), but we have got to show that they can't bully us, or our elected representatives, in the name of Rush and Beck.

One other note: People of good will must show up and stand firm for another reason. The underpinning racism of that whole movement must not be allowed to stand unchallenged.
