1. As I said before, ALL cops should be REQUIRED to wear personal cameras and audio recording devices
I like the dashboard cam, but this needs to be expanded so that EVERY cop has to wear a personal camera and an audio recording device.

You have a gun and a badge, you should have nothing to hide.

2. On YouTube
There is a 30 minute lecture from a college law professor about why you should never talk to a police officer without a lawyer present. He talks for the first half, and then he turns it over to a police interrogator, who agrees with him.

It's easy to find, and everyone should watch it.

4. I was taught never to trust police officers. This only reinforces my distrust of cops.
I'm sure there are some straight shooters on the police forces, but I would much rather have every and all interaction between officers and the public filmed whenever those officers are on duty because it only takes one thug to attack a person's freedoms, and each municipality should have an independent civilian oversight board to regulate these forces. Police officers should be free to do their jobs. They should not be free to abuse their powers.

You can't go wrong if you stick to that simple little motto.

7. If you say nothing then you cannot be dishonest..
Even the most honest words can be twisted, it's better to remain silent.
